Before We Begin ~ Our Agreement

Before starting the first date together, create a few agreements together.

They may resemble things like ...
You are both allowed to pause.
You are both allowed to say, “I’m not ready to answer that yet.”
You don’t automatically have the right to read what your partner has written privately.
You don’t have to agree with your partner’s experience in order to listen to it.
If either of you becomes highly activated, flooded or shut down, stop the exercise rather than forcing yourselves through it.

This journey isn’t intended to be used to prove that your partner is the problem.

And please don’t weaponise what your partner reveals here later.

Vulnerability needs somewhere safe to land.

Throughout the journey you will see three invitations:

FOR YOUR EYES means this is yours.
You decide whether you ever share it.

WHEN YOU’RE READY, SHARE means reflect privately first and then share whatever feels appropriate.

DO THIS TOGETHER means this is an experience for the two of you.

You may discover things that need more support than a self led experience can provide. That’s okay too.

Some people like to schedule an appointment with Hayley after each date, some like to schedule one if something arises. The option is there only if and when you may need it, either individually or together.

The purpose isn’t to resolve your entire relationship in five modules.
The purpose is to begin seeing what is actually happening between you.
